Great news that our Worcester STEM club has had their application for an IOP grant accepted. Well done to Vicky and Sarah, and exciting to be able to run some interesting projects with them next year.
Wott-ON
Our first social enterprise project, Wott-ON, has been generously supported by Renishaw, Gloucestershire Community Foundation, the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, Stroud District Council Youth Activities Fund, the Barnwood Trust and many other local businesses and people.
Funding Award
We are delighted to announce that Fizzypig recently won £4423.60 from the Institution of Engineering and Technology to run an autumn term engineering programme for six groups of home educated children across the South West of England. The children will be offered a range of fun and exciting design, build and test activities based on an active learning approach. These sessions will also offer the opportunity for parents to participate and learn alongside their children, building their confidence, understanding of and skills in science and engineering.
Wotton Technology Club
This little award winning Technology Club has been very lucky to win money from the IMechE and Renishaw for a combination of projects including restoring a Greenpower Goblin electric racing go kart. The hard working team then went on to win a trophy at their first Greenpower event.
Big Bang Fair Success
Our Home Educators’ STEM club was featured in the local Gazette this week with a report about their recent success at the Big Bang Fair in Birmingham. More info here.
