Who we are

Cerys Ibbotson Cerys is a long standing Brownie and Ranger Leader, and has a background in nursing. She is a home educating parent of four children, and is heavily involved in the home ed community as a kind and supportive role model.

Amanda Kirby Amanda is an engineer and Research Director at K Sharp Ltd, a company specialising in the relationship between humans and technology, and an advocate for girls/women in STEM careers. She is a home educating parent of three children and enjoys learning alongside them.

Joanna Lambert Joanna is a home educating parent to three children, and a creative writing student. She enjoys working with young people and has written and directed many successful children’s performances.

Wendy Lomas Wendy co-founded Fizzypig in 2012. She has a background in natural and social sciences and has worked in retail and customer service management, education provision, personal development and natural health. She was with Waterstones and then Neal’s Yard Remedies for a number of years and is now self-employed as well as being a home educating parent.  She manages the projects for Fizzypig, is responsible for funding applications, and leads a number of our STEM clubs.

Sue Pankiewicz Sue worked for many years as a senior school English teacher before spending 8 years at the pupil referral unit of Children’s Support Services, Essex with excluded pupils who had behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. She currently runs Principled Wellbeing – an organisation which helps parents, teenagers and children transform their lives and relationships.
Rachel Robinson Rachel has worked in higher education, local government, the advice sector, the voluntary and community sector and is currently working at Learning Partnership West. She has lived in Gloucestershire for ten years. Rachel enjoys listening to people, finding out what matters to them and working out creative ways to make good things happen.
All three directors run Fizzypig on a voluntary basis and the projects are managed and run by self-employed project workers and volunteers.
