Who we are

Cerys Ibbotson Cerys is a long standing Brownie and Ranger Leader, and has a background in nursing. She is a home educating parent of four children, and is heavily involved in the home ed community as a kind and supportive role model.

Amanda Kirby Amanda is an engineer and Research Director at K Sharp Ltd, a company specialising in the relationship between humans and technology, and an advocate for girls/women in STEM careers. She is a home educating parent of three children and enjoys learning alongside them.

Joanna Lambert Joanna is a home educating parent, writer and hospital domestic. She is a mentor on the Equal Power Equal Voice project and founded Queer Writers Cardiff and Towy Valley Queer Walkers.

Wendy Lomas Wendy co-founded Fizzypig in 2012. She has a background in natural and social sciences and has worked in retail and customer service management and education provision. She was with Waterstones and then Neal’s Yard Remedies for a number of years and is now self-employed as well as being an AI researcher at the university of Wolverhampton.  She managed the projects for Fizzypig, including responsibility for funding applications, and led a number of our STEM clubs.

Sue Pankiewicz Sue worked for many years as a senior school English teacher before spending 8 years at the pupil referral unit of Children’s Support Services, Essex with excluded pupils who had behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. She currently runs Principled Wellbeing – an organisation which helps parents, teenagers and children transform their lives and relationships.

All five directors run Fizzypig on a voluntary basis and the projects are managed and run by self-employed project workers and volunteers.
