The Careers and Activity Day at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, was a huge success and fantastic start to the year. It was the first time we’d run such an event, and had hoped for 200 attendees, but would’ve been happy with 100. When the gatehouse reported over 300 participants, we were delighted! With 9 different activities running morning and afternoon all around the garden, 14 speakers and 7 stands there was a lot to organise, but we’ve been overwhelmed with the positive response all round to this event, and with a few tweaks, we hope to run something similar in the future.
The event was generously sponsored and supported by the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Fizzypig Ltd, The National Lottery Community Fund, the British Birds of Prey Centre, K Sharp Ltd and the Institution of Civil Engineers, as well as all the speakers who gave up their time on the day and all the home educating families that attended. Thank you all, it was a brilliant day.
